Shower for Jessica~

Our Saturday was spent hanging by the pool with Becca and Sam~

 Then we headed to the shower for Jessica and Peter~

 It was such a fun evening especially with my sister, Chris, and Savannah~

Together two weekends in a row and another coming!!!

Can't wait for the wedding coming this Saturday!

Off to UGA~

Rosie had a huge decision looming as she thought about college.

We took her for a visit today @ UGA and she fell in love with the campus, people, and Athens in general~

 She was sure as we walked back through town this was the place for her!!!

We decided to celebrate with a yummy dinner @ Last Resort Grill~

and even went by for a visit with Jessica!

SO thankful Rosie knows where she will spend the next 4+ years!!

A Fabulous Friday~

First of all we want to thank Jennifer {our sil} for thinking of, organizing, 
and working a fundraiser yard sale for our adoption this weekend~

 We have a fee due Monday for our USCIS  fingerprinting and Jennifer has already raised all that for us. 
We have another sale day tomorrow and whatever is made then will go toward our second agency fee due too.
Blessings to everyone who has donated anything to this event!

Tonight we were so excited to spend time with Jessica and Peter for dinner and the football game~

Absolutely LOVE watching Rose cheer!

When we left @ halftime, they were winning 44-0!

A Fabulous Friday for sure!!!

Martin Christmas~

Our family always stretches Christmas out for a week or so giving my sister time to be here to celebrate. This was the weekend and today was the day. Loved having Mama, Daddy, Marcia and family, Jason and family, Jessica, Hayden, and all our children here for lunch and gifts~

 Loved being home with family close watching excited kids tear into new toys, eating delicious food/desserts, and telling stories of old days~

 The perfect day for a photo with all the grandchildren and dreaming of the day when ALL the grandchildren are home/born.

 A very sweet Martin Christmas!

 

One of the BEST Days!

 

Rosie and I joked at one time there was no way she would be on crutches one day and the next not BUT...

That would be exactly what happened today!!!

We went for her 6 weeks to the day follow up appt today and Dr. Register said her knee was healed~ no more crutches and no more brace.

She will continue to take it easy and get stronger through PT.

We celebrated at dinner with Jessica and Hayden!!

In the words of Rosie~ "The happiest day of my life until I get my braces off!"

One of the BEST Days!!!

Passion 2012~

Passion 2012 is taking place this week

at the Dome in Atlanta

and two VERY precious girls I love are there~

 Jessica and Amelia.

With 45,000 people, they found each other

and took a photo~ just for me. (not really)

I couldn't love them more and am praying SO big

for all God has in store for their precious lives!!!

One Less Again...

One Less Orphan in the world today...

Our beautiful niece Jessica (my brother's daughter)

gave her life to Christ

and was baptized at Athens Church this morning.

It was a precious time for her and our family.

I tried so hard to get her whole testimony 

but this is almost all of it~

She's amazing and just the pouring LOVE all around her.

I loved her status today~

"Joy unspeakable joy :) rises in my soul and never lets me go!!!!" Yesterday, today, and forever I will proudly proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord and living in my heart !!!

This is her to a T now!

We are thrilled that we were able to be there

and share this greatest of moments in her life~

Daddy's 73rd Birthday

We celebrated my daddy's birthday Sunday with the whole family. Momma and Marcia cooked a delicious lunch for us after we heard the most wonderful sermon by my little brother Jason at our church. Scott picked up my grandfather and he was able to be there as well. It truly was a great family day! So thankful to have my precious daddy in my life!!!

Catching Up

A Fun Saturday

Saturday was a great day of just hanging out. Scott and I had some quality time with the big girls individually: I took Amelia to get her eyebrows done, and Scott took Rosie to lunch then around town for errands- nothing big- just time. They both said last night what a great day it had been.

Jessi, my niece, came by on her way to dinner before prom. We were able to shoot some pictures and EllaKate said she looked like a princess. We thought so too!!! They were going to Athens for dinner and then back to the Cateechee for the dance.

That evening, we invited my mama and daddy, Susan and Tony, and Cathy and Jeff over for dinner. We ordered BBQ and made all the sides. I made homemade ice cream and Susan brought a cake to celebrate Tony's birthday coming up April 29. We enjoyed having everyone over and celebrating a very special person's birthday!!! Happy Birthday Tony!!!

Happy birthday Pop and Jessica

We celebrated Pop's (my dad) 71st birthday and Jessica's 18th birthday on Sunday. My sister Marcia was here so we helped Mama cook up a wonderful lunch for the family. It was a wonderful day.
