Birthday Weekend~

My sister and fam came to town so we celebrated my daddy's 81st birthday and~

Will's 9th! How do you like his birthday fish from Sissy's fam?
Meet our newest fish~ Tiger (orange fish).

We made another chocolate pound cake, ate BBQ, and opened presents~

 What 81 year old do you know with so much brown hair and so handsome?

Little man scored three more Dog Man books and some cash~

It was a great weekend and both birthday boys were loved big!!!

Happy 8th Birthday Will and 80th to my Dad~

We celebrated Will's birthday several times and for some reason I lost the photos of his family party.
Just a cute photo of SJ taking care of Calla out on the plasma car~

Will got a new bike and we celebrated with Chinese around the big table~

The next day we celebrated daddy's 80th with poppyseed chicken, cookie cake, and singing~

Saturday Christmas with my Sister's Family~

We were not finished with Christmas quite yet so I put everything away except our big tree.
It felt good to have uncluttered space with beautiful light streaming back through the windows~

My sister and family drove to Ga Saturday morning and we gathered for dinner and gifts that evening~

 The kids had already opened gifts from Memommy and Pop but Sissy's family gave them a super cool new swing~

A Swurfer and can't wait to see them enjoying it... IF the rain ever stops!!!

Christmas with Martins~

Jason, Amy, and family will travel for Christmas so we opened gifts with them and my parents early~

 We watched everyone open youngest to the oldest~

 Then we decorated Christmas cookies~

 So much fun celebrating with cousins~

 Everyone LOVED their gifts but SJ had to wait to get home to enjoy her Easy Bake~

She mixed her cookie mix, baked, and gave the thumbs up for a delicious snack~

Thank you to the Martins for a wonderful Christmas celebration!
We LOVED opening gifts early giving everyone something new to play with while we wait for Santa.

Will Perry is 7!~

I'm pretty sure we have heard 'When is October 17th?" about 365 times since last year...

{slight exaggeration} but you get the point.

The boy has been seriously waiting for his birthday and we celebrated this weekend.

Saturday was his birthday and he woke to gifts from us and the girls~

 He is a dinosaur nut right now so it was the theme of his gifts.
{Even EK and SJ gave him some of their collection.}
We had happy meals for lunch and the whole day was spent outside~

 My sister and family came into town so we had a little party at the big table~

 There were lots of cupcake faces~

 The adults enjoyed smores~

Then Sunday was my dad's birthday so after church we had more birthday celebrations.

My daddy turned 79 and love this photo of him with his three grandsons ALL 7~

We enjoyed a delicious lunch and DQ ice cream cake then went out for the gifts.
I wanted this photo of my parents and siblings because we lost our sweet brother John 8 years ago and we miss him terribly~

Father's Day~

The kids had a ball celebrating their dad with church, Mellow Mushroom,

pool party, homemade ice cream, and grilling~

 Not in our wildest dreams did we ever think we would have all this love~

{They even wanted Sadie and Macy in the pic}

 And even after all that, he DVRed the golf tournament and took them to the lake~

We love you honey and think you are the BEST dad in the whole world!!!

A super Father's Day to my sweet daddy too~

I am so thankful for him and love him to pieces!!!

Christmas Eve~ {New Tradition}

Because lots of chaos tends to make 'some' overstimulated

(too many presents opened at one time),

we decided opening presents with Memommy and Pop 

at their house with just us was the way to go.

Everyone got something to wear and play with~

 It was such a fun time opening things we could play with throughout the day~

Martin Dairy Christmas Party!

Daddy's 78th BD~

FULL weekend as we celebrated a heaven home going, a 6 year old bd party,

and today my daddy's 78th birthday~

Let me think of some ways to describe him...

The hardest working most dedicated man to his family and farm!

His love is quiet and fierce.

He would give you anything he has and loves farming.

He can split wood like a man half his age (well probably younger).

This is the place we all call Home and it was gorgeous today~

He has a temper but I would probably describe it more of a passion... 

best advice, stand down and it will pass.

He is strong.

He is quiet.

He is my daddy.

I couldn't love him more.

Our children adore going to their house to play and we spent the whole day there today~

Having my sister's kids home, Becca and Sam was a treat too~

One of my daddy's finest accomplishments each year is his garden and in the fall 

it is full of the most beautiful sunflowers all pointing their faces toward the sun~

It was a beautiful day to just be together as a family!

Having my sister here was a sweet part of the weekend!

When she is here, its like having a clone here helping me get everything done!

She just knows what and how, the ins and outs!!

Oh and CHRIS you make the best ribs in the USA

(not to mention all the moving and work you did)!

We ended back at our house for dinner and another party~

IG Moments this Week~

This week via IG...

My mom and dad's garden is full at the moment and we have enjoyed lots of corn this week~

The silly bitties after our sweet social worker visited for Holly's one month~

We enjoyed dinner with Scott's sisters, Jan and Susan~

After an awesome visit to the dentist and NO cavities, we celebrated with Happy Meals~

Do you remember us sprouting seeds in bags on our window then transplanting to pots then our yard???~

 Well EK and SJ picked green beans and butter beans this week and I cooked them tonight... YUM~

We have enjoyed evening walks and the littles LOVE visiting to pet the horses~

There was much swimming too... here they all are with their person~

A great week and can't wait for tomorrow...
