A Happy Birthday~

I'll never forget the day I saw this little face online in a sea of other little faces waiting to chosen~
I asked God to give me a sign in order to convince Scott she was our baby...
Feb. 3~ that was my sign... we share our birthday!

Scotty left me a sweet birthday card, and we wrapped Evie's gifts~

Evie wanted birthday photos so here they are~

Memommy gave Evie money, and she asked for a new bike so we took her to Walmart~
 Where she chose legos and rode her new bike right out of the store!

That night we had our family over for pizza~
 Gifts~
 and Cake~
It was a very fun birthday for both of us!!!

Family Party for Evie~ {Yo Ho Matey}

The theme in Evie and Holly's class @ NewSpring Church has been pirates
and you might remember one Sunday Evie cried and cried because she wanted to meet the pirate in the video~
So when I asked her what kind of birthday party she wanted...
you guessed it~
A Pirate Party!!!

It is tradition that we celebrate birthdays with family so this was the day.
We made lasagna, salad, and bread and invited everyone over.

After church Evie asked me if she could dress up in WP's costume~
Couldn't find the patch so we made one 
which she placed on top of her head thus the red patch on her head.

She picked out her cake at Publix and
{I forgot candles so she blew out one}
She didn't care and the party was wonderful because of all the love in our house!

 Sweet Ben Curtis was in everyone's arms~

 I knew Holly would not understand Evie getting to open presents without her
since her only experience has been with Christmas.
I talked with Evie about it and tried her best to include her in opening.
It went pretty well~
 Sisters~
 Family~
 Lots of Love~
All in all the party was a huge success 
especially to Evie which is all that mattered!
Tomorrow is the REAL birthday day...
Evie and I both turn 5... mine just has a 0 at the end. :)

49 & 4= {Birthday Blessings}~

Maybe you remember Evie's birthday being a big piece of how God showed me she was sweet daughter~
 And this was her last year on her 3rd birthday just home a few days~

Yesterday she and I celebrated party style with our family~
SO wonderful to have our bigs home all together!
 Evie had waited all day long to open her gifts...
{Actually she got to open one first thing and while I was getting ready for church... she opened ALL of them.}~
 I did salvage one and thankfully two were still hidden away in the guest house! :)
SO back to the gift opening... it was necessary to open first~
 She LOVED all her gifts: bitty baby clothes, tea set, Sophia dress up, bitty baby bed, a button game, AND money!!!
I opened a beautiful Chinese love charm for my Pandora bracelet and then it was time for cake and sherbert~
{This was my first attempt at making the cake and icing plus decorating... 
let's just say I won't be opening my own business.}
 
Her expression was SO sweet when we sang happy birthday we had to do it twice and {we forgot to video}~

 Today has been a busy and beautiful day!
Payne was scheduled for an ultrasound @ CHOA so we loaded up and headed into Atlanta for the day~
 His appt went great!
We ate lunch @ The Cheesecake Factory!!
I came home to sweet cards from Mimi and Gigi!!!
Evie opened her last gift~ a Plasma car which we scored for super cheap on Zulily back before Christmas!!!!
AND a birthday shared with this precious baby couldn't be any sweeter!!!!!

49 & 4= Birthday Blessings beyond Words! 

Thankful for every single wish and sweet thought today!
May God bless you all as much as you have blessed me and Evie!!!

35 Weeks~

Savannah is 35 weeks today~
 and it was SO wonderful to have her and Josh home to help Evie~
 celebrate her 4th birthday {tomorrow}.

A Party for Two~

Evie and I had a wonderful birthday together! Mostly because we were ALL together as a family again. The one thing I wanted the most was a new family photo with our new littles in it. I am thankful to say, we got one~
 Our babies are home, Fisher lived through our trip, and we are reunited once again. 
Takes my breath away!

Josh and Savannah treated our family to a Taco Bar... what could be better than not having to cook on your birthday. It was delcious! They began cooking and Evie opened her gifts~
Loved having mama, daddy, and Susan here to celebrate. Evie loved all her gifts... dollhouse, puzzle, lacing animals, musical picnic basket, and adorable outfit. I didn't expect any gifts since two of the sweetest ones were right in my arms but Scott and the children treated me with a new phone and Pandora charms. LOVE!

We SO enjoyed our delicious dinner and then had yummy Gigi cupcakes/ice cream~
Evie was absolutely darling blowing out the candles... I think we let her blow them out four times. :)

AND I was able to shoot a few 3rd birthday photos of Evie~

  Delicious isn't she... a little cupcake for sure!

A Very Happy Birthday~

This time last year I sat thinking we had a son waiting on us @ SF where WP had lived. Later in February we would learn he was not to be our son but a precious family in Alabama and thus began our journey to PC & EC. 

In the thick of disappointment and sadness, it is so hard to let go and let God but that's exactly what I had to do and God led us on the Path He had ordained. Way better than I would have ever imagined for myself. He was already blessing us with 
Eph 3:20-21
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

I wrote a post on July 7 announcing the miracle God had worked in our lives~
 Just a little of what I wrote that day~
The story goes...
June 21st, our annversary, I sat at my computer looking at our agency files again just in case there was a new one.
A friend of mine called to check on me and suggested I look at the WCadvocacy yahoo group
(just so I would have something to do waiting on Scott for lunch).
I sent message to moderator and was added.

There were pages and pages of faces and files and I guess I had looked at hundreds...
when I found a folder titled 'Recently Released Files from Agencies'.
I clicked on first face and a whole page of faces opened.
Right in the middle of the page was a little girl I instantly adored.
Clicked on her to see what her name was, read the comments below, and then checked her birthday to see she had MY same birthday~ 2/3.

That same day, we asked our agency to see if she was still on the shared list
(she was)
and then see if we could look at her file
(we did).
The rest was just a test of nerves, trust, and surrender.
We waited for updated info, through the weekend and a new shared list being released, and finally on the following Friday, we locked her file, sent LOI Sunday, and received PA yesterday. 

Today is the day China chose as her birthday as there is usually no proof of exact date. I believe God chose this day as her birthday so I would KNOW her the day He revealed her to me. I LOVED her face the minute I saw her... why? This is crazy but I felt like I was looking at myself~
 I've had several people share Evie looks like me. How can it be? God! And when I saw her birthday, I heard God speak to my heart... She is YOUR baby. Go bring her home.
 
SO today we celebrate this precious life we will cherish forever. She has no clue what all the fuss is about but in time, she will! It will be a beautiful day since ALL our children will be here and all I want is a new Family Photo!
 
Happy birthday to our baby EvieClaire. We pray God's richest blessings over your life and promise to show His great Love to you all the days of our lives!
