Christmas Day 2017~

Everyone woke up about 6:30 for a fun morning~

 So much excitement opening gifts~

 Ek & SJ got Eno hammocks and Breyer horse stuff.
The little girls got American Girl dolls, legos, and a medical cart.
The boys got legos and Knex gun kits~

 Rosie's surprises were clothes, perfume, and pearl earrings~

 Everyone went to work right away building~

 We stayed home all day and everyone played their hearts out~

 Even Macy was excited for her gigantic braided candycane bone~

We had mama, daddy, Amelia, and Logan for dinner and Amelia helped the girls hang their Enos on the breezeway~

 While Logan and Hayden helped the boys build their K'Nex guns~

I also gave my very first afghan to my mom for Christmas~

LOVED surprising her!!!
It was a VERY Merry Christmas for sure!!!

Christmas Eve~

Our day began with traditional Santa pancakes and bacon~

 Then we were off to Savannah and Josh's for the day!
We made beautiful photos on the front porch~

 Ate Chinese for lunch, watched the Falcons lose, and opened more gifts~

 It is SO fun to watch children open gifts and gasp at the surprise~

 They played games, with slime, and built lego structures
and decorated cookies for Santa~

We got home about 6 and made hot chocolate to drink while we watched The Polar Express~

 Look at my poor Christmas tree.
And here is the scene as we wait for the kids to wake up for Christmas morning~

This and That~

This girl cracks us constantly~

 Uncle Larry and Aunt Jennifer sent over a bag full of things to do during Christmas~

And Dec 1 is always a great time to get new Christmas pjs~

Happy & Sad~ {Santa Visit}

Calla's recovery had been amazing!
You would never know she had such a major incision~

Her post op appt went very well and her surgeon thought she was doing great!~

 We thought since we were so close, we should go by and see Santa~

 We also enjoyed our traditional Maggiano's lunch and got to watch major construction being done~

We traveled back to our old church for Mr. Ben's funeral (Josh's Dad)~

Getting Decorated~

Early evenings full of darkness brings lots of time for games and crocheting~

Early mornings because of the time change brings playing in front of the tree
and SJ making us a delicious breakfast~

We spend more time in pjs too because it saves tons of laundry and it's simply comfy~

We had a surprise weekend with the grandboys so Mill and Logan came over~

They loved all the decorating we were doing~

This year I handed the bins to the kids, and they decorated three of our four trees~
{LOVE they are such big helpers!!!}

My sweet babygrands lost a precious granddaddy while they were at our house.
They are the sweet legacy to an amazing man... Mr. Ben will never be forgotten~

And when everything was back to normal, Calla crashed in my arms for a long nap!!!
