Sweet Faces, Fireplace, and a Big Trip~

We had the joy of keeping the boys one day and got these beautiful smiles~

Sweet Brooklynn and Jessica came to visit all the way from Idaho. It was so wonderful to spend time and see just how much Brookie had grown~

While we were at Memommy's visiting Brooklynn, the kids climbed up on the well house to pretend~

Savannah sent pics of BC and Josh on their first camping trip together~

And the fun BC had at the Fun Run at his school~

Our beloved Dogwood tree died out by our pool so we decided to fill the space with something we would love through the fall and winter months~

It was SO exciting to see all the materials delivered and the men come to work each day~

Just within a couple of days, we could see just how wonderful it was going to be~

 SO exciting~

I had the great fun of eating lunch with BC! I read a book to him while he ate then we talked about his day. He was very proud of his school and introducing me to his teacher~

I got a call from my friend Catherine that she had a free ticket to Wild&Free Conference in Franklin Tenn but I would have to pack and leave within 2 hours to make it by dinner and opening session~
I found the courage to leave at a moment's notice, drive almost 6 hours alone, and made it just in time to be with the lady in the pink dress! I also met some of my favorite homeschool curriculum writers: Rea Berg and Julie Bogart! It was a wonderful time learning and enjoying being with friends!

Calla worked on riding her bike for days and weeks but finally made it so the big kids walked while she took her first ride down the street~

Even at the end of September, the kids were playing in the pool~

EK and SJ bought this beautiful display shelf from their Aunt Susan for their Breyer horses~
And EK made this beautiful butterfly display for the nature shelf.
Goodbye to September and hello to October!

The 4th and a Fun Day~

The most exciting part of the 4th for our family is Savannah's birthday.
She and her family were at the beach so they celebrated there~

while we celebrated her here at home with Patriotic brownies and ice cream~
We hung out at the pool during the day and after dinner, we took the boat out not far from our dock for fireworks show~

This week we were missing the boys so much, we took a day trip to see them~
There is a cool park near their new house so we took the kids to play~
They had the best time chasing and climbing~
It was in the high 90s so we didn't stay for more than an hour or so~

We made it back for lunch and a movie rest time~
BC and Calla have to patch each day so it was sweet that they were supporting each other!

On the way home, we stopped by Rosie's new office and boy was it beautiful~
Of course Crockett was the favorite part for the kids!!!

Ben Curtis is Four~

Savannah and the boys invited us out for a Birthday celebration for Ben Curtis at Fernbank Science Museum~
Who can even believe he is already 4?
We had planned to go to this museum and the kids were thrilled to go with the boys.

Crazy story...
When we were about to get off on Savannah's exit, Evie asked for something in my purse.
NO purse. No money. No driver's license. Panic!
Luckily in this day and time there is Apple Wallet and CFA pre pay app AND my children just happened to have their own money with them and when pooled together, we had enough for the museum plus a couple errands we had to run.
What started out as a disaster, ended completely fine!

Ben Curtis and Will loved the dinosaur exhibits~
 EK loved the shell exhibit~

Marshall was such a trooper since we went after lunch to avoid field trip groups and he missed his nap falling asleep toward the end in his stroller~

After enjoying the inside, we were thrilled to come out to the natural playgrounds~
It was the best of days celebrating our sweet BC's big day!!!

A Grand Few Days~

We had the joy of having the Grand Boys here for a few days~
It was so wonderful to watch the kids all help out and take care of each other.
These boys look so much like their Papa~
Thankfully we had one day of pretty warm temps so they could get outside~
What a joy to have grandchildren!!!

Getting Decorated~

Early evenings full of darkness brings lots of time for games and crocheting~

Early mornings because of the time change brings playing in front of the tree
and SJ making us a delicious breakfast~

We spend more time in pjs too because it saves tons of laundry and it's simply comfy~

We had a surprise weekend with the grandboys so Mill and Logan came over~

They loved all the decorating we were doing~

This year I handed the bins to the kids, and they decorated three of our four trees~
{LOVE they are such big helpers!!!}

My sweet babygrands lost a precious granddaddy while they were at our house.
They are the sweet legacy to an amazing man... Mr. Ben will never be forgotten~
And when everything was back to normal, Calla crashed in my arms for a long nap!!!
