For the last 22 years,
the 4th has been a very fun day for our family.
In addition to celebrating the birth of our country~
we have celebrated the birth of our first born!!!
Scott always runs the Peachtree Road Race
and usually we all go down to cheer him on
but living almost 2 hours away makes it a little harder
to go with him.
On Sunday after church,
we headed out for a little time on the lake~
and got caught in a big downpour~
ending up in a slip
at the marina for about an hour~
and got this precious photo of my beautiful children!!!
Yay!
Then on Monday, we waited for Scott to get home
from the race so we could grill out.
Around 4, we made ice cream
and celebrated Savannah's birthday with our family~
Savannah and Josh headed back home
and we headed back out on the lake for fireworks.
Such a fun thing because tons of boats
pull into a small cove and we all watch fireworks shot lakeside.
Rosie invited Leslie to go with us~
Waiting for the show~
Two worn out littles way past their bedtime~
Dear Savannah~
The day you were born was one of the best days of my life!
I wanted a girl SO bad, I was sure you were a boy. :)
I loved you with all my heart the moment
I heard your heartbeat
and I love you more than you will ever know
until you hold your own.
I am SO very proud of you and love talking to you every day!!!
I look forward to what God has in store for you this year!
Love forever and always,
Mom
