Spring Break with Rosie~
She is amazing in how much time she spends with the kids~
She spent time outside with them~
Read tons of books to them~
And for her celebratory meal she wanted Cracker Barrel~
Sunday we took a picnic down to our dock and enjoyed being together for her last day~
And I'm not going to lie when I say it was hard to watch her car drive away for her last 6 weeks of college life!
Where have the last 4 years gone?
Love you Rosie!!!

Spring Break

We are so thankful to be back home tonight!!!
We left home yesterday morning on a mission to find a homecoming dress for both Amelia and Rosemary. Bingo!!! We looked at 3 places and found a purple one for A and pink for R- they look beautiful in them! Lunch was shared with Sheryl, Linzi, and Ally- we loved seeing them!!! We picked Scott up at work about 4 and headed to Buckhead for the night. We checked into our hotel and went to Maggiano's for dinner- my favorite place- so delicious!!!
WELL, imagine our surprise when we got back out to our car and found a BOOT on our tire!!! Supposedly the boot guy saw a lady walk away from our car and cross over to another premises- according to him, that isn't allowed- so he booted the car. We called him and he came right away, asking where we had been. We said Maggiano's and showed him our receipt. He immediately began apologizing that he had made a mistake and said, "No charge"... oh no kidding??? How crazy was that???
We took the girls to Lenox for a little while and then to Cheesecake Factory for dessert. I think we made it back to the hotel about 10, watched Jon & Kate + 8 marathon, and fell asleep. This morning we were up by 8 and ate breakfast @ the Flying Biscuit- so yummy- have you ever had Organic Oatmeal Pancakes?- extra yummy!!! Then to the GA Aquarium!!!
This was Scott's, mine, and EllaKate's first visit to the aquarium. EllaKate was amazed when we first walked in. We especially loved the walk through tunnel and the beluga whale exhibit. We also watched a really cool 3D movie about taking care of the ocean. Do you see the bottom middle picture? EllaKate is pointing to the fish she wants to take home :).
We crossed the street and played in Centennial Park for a while. We were starving and decided to make a stop @ Atlantic Station for a visit. We ate @ Fox Sports Grill, walked around the whole area (loved Target!), and ended the day with a Coldstone ice cream!!! EllaKate gave it up and we made our way home.
It was a GREAT 2 days but we are so glad to be home washing clothes, sleeping in our own beds, and able to sleep in tomorrow morning. Scott is staying home and I think we may take our boat out for one last day before we winterize it. We are looking forward to a great weekend!!!

Spring Break
We drove up to Dahlonega to see Savannah. We picked her up after class and went to lunch. We also went by her dorm to see her friends. They always love to see the girls. We are on a spending diet (need to sell our houses) so there was no shopping- just up and back. Scott took the girls to play tennis again and then we got our run in. It was the perfect spring break day.
Yesterday was day three - no time to post. The day was spent spring cleaning. Amelia and Rosemary helped Scott in the yard while EllaKate and I worked in the house. Everyone changed out their clothes from winter to summer- what a refreshing feeling. Amy's parents were up visiting with Amy and Jason so we all went to Cateechee for dinner- so delicious!
Today we are off to Atlanta after Amelia gets a private tennis lesson. We are meeting Savannah and Josh for dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory downtown and then to the Atlanta Civic Center for the 8:00 Lion King show. It will be a late night, but I'm sure it will be worth it!
A day late posting again but... we didn't get home until 1am. Amelia had a tennis lesson yesterday and afterwards, the girls and I left for Atlanta. We ate lunch and did a little shopping. Amelia had some birthday money that was burning a hole and I had Gymbucks to spend- (can't let those go to waste!!!) Now back to that spending diet :-).
We met Scott and went downtown for dinner @ Old Spaghetti Factory. Savannah and Josh met us there too. After a fantastic dinner, we enjoyed The Lion King show @ the Atlanta Civic Center. It was amazing!!! EllaKate only took a 30 min catnap yesterday so we were wondering how she would do. Guess what? She watched every minute in my lap on the edge of her seat. She took in every detail and said some of the cutest things. When the show first started all the animals came down the aisles and she turned around to me and said, "Did they let all the animals out of the zoo?" I said, "Yes!" She just clapped and clapped as if they had all been rescued!!! Also @ intermission, she thought it was over. We told her there was more and she said, "We get to watch it again?" It was a great evening!!!

Spring Break

You may be asking, "Where in the world have you all been?" Well, our family knows we have been in Hartwell for Spring Break. We headed up Sunday afternoon and only came home for First Friday and went right back. What a wonderful week!!! I will be writing about our week for the next few days. Our main focus for the week was working on our house. Jeff came up and helped put in our last part of counter tops. The kitchen looks great. We really enjoyed living in our house this past week and using the kitchen. The only luxury we were missing was a refrigerator, but our cooler did the trick!
Working on the Cabinets...
Having a picnic out on the big granite table...
Birthdays, Stitches, and a Wedding~
Rosie and Leighton celebrated their birthdays four days apart, and we had a ball at Leighton's Magical Unicorn Waterslide 4 YO party~ It...
