Bulldogs are #1 {Still}~

The scoreboard may not have agreed but Bulldogs are STILL #1!

Tonight they played in one of their biggest rival games.

During this past week, the Bulldogs were in the Fox5 team of the week contest

 and they WON with over 450,000 votes.

The most ever.

Because they won, Fox5 came to Hartwell on Thursday for a community pep rally.

Rosie was up early and out the door to cheer on her team~

 AND just look... on tv several times!!!

Grace~

As we traveled home from Anderson this evening,

I looked out across the lake and thought...

that's what Grace looks like.

We experienced the very beauty of Grace~

beauty we didn't deserve but God shared it with us

and took our breath away as well.

So thankful to live in such a beautiful place!

Our Hartwell House

On Tuesday, we made a run to Hartwell to get a few things done on the house. Last weekend, Scott and Jeff finished the shelves in the kitchen and installed the new stove. Yesterday we stained the shelves as well as some floor trim. Workers were there to finish up the bathrooms. We set up some furniture in Amelia's room given to us by Mrs. Ankerich. So now we have to finish up the floor trim, put in new countertops and faucet in kitchen, finish installing new lighting, and put up blinds. We are making great headway and the house looks wonderful!!!

Country Girls

We were in Hartwell on Saturday and the girls got to ride the 4wheeler! Amelia and Rosie have black rubber boots they wear to keep their feet clean and dry. Amelia was convinced that EllaKate needed a pair as well, so we went to Walmart and bought a pair. She could barely walk in them, but she liked them. I took pictures of the country girls hanging out on the farm!!!

Big News

Big news.... During the holidays starting around Thanksgiving, Scott and I (without each other knowing) had been thinking a lot about our hometown of Hartwell. With the passing of Mrs. Ankerich in November, I made a statement one day that I wanted to go home. That was all it took to get us seriously praying, and before we knew it, we had told our families. They were elated but a little shocked and surprised. The girls have always loved Hartwell, especially the farm where I grew up. They LOVE riding their four wheeler.

Well, after much prayer and conversation, we have decided to move probably the beginning of June. We will be putting our HM home on the market in March, unless you know someone looking for a wonderful house and we can hook them up. Scott is offering a thousand dollars to anyone who sends us a buyer. Any takers??? We decided that instead of buying or building a house as soon as we move, we would renovate Scott's mom and dad's house to live in for a year and a half. That will give us all time to make sure we made the right choice. We have been up to work on the house the past few weekends. Jeff Lopes and family have been up to help us. He and Scott actually cut out some of my cabinets to make room for a new stove. We are redoing the bathrooms, painting the ceilings and walls, buffing the hardwood floors, putting down new flooring in kitchen and bathrooms, and carpet in family room and sunroom. We are really excited about the move but sad to be leaving such a precious part of our lives. We will certainly miss all our wonderful friends made through the years.
