President's Day~

Our day began with our Breakfast Club making their own choice.
SJ made eggs for everyone, and Payne made toast.
The bitties wanted mac and cheese.  :0
I love giving them free breakfast days... see the joy?~

It was purely by luck a couple of the kids had picked up random books at the library that corresponded to President's Day~
We sang our presidents song, read books, and watched documentaries about the pets of Presidents... you know my animal loving kids!

And just wanted to document Calla's writing~
I'm pretty sure she is going to be a lefty!

Happy President's Day~

Today was all things history since we have studied both Washington and Lincoln
already this school year.
We pulled all our books, skimmed through them
and watched 3 YouTubes on each one~
I had to planned to copy a little book about presidents to make
but we were low on ink and I had to make alternate plans...

I rounded up paper, journals, art supplies, and we made our own
Washington and Lincoln~
The little kids traced over what I wrote for them
and the bigs copied that plus wrote facts they knew about each president.
We also sang our president song
and enjoyed discussing what we would do if we were president!!!
Happy President's Day!

I purchased a balance scale for our math time.
It will be used in many ways but this week we are making the date with it by counting ex) 18 into the bins and deciding if the number is odd or even. They gathered that when the scale balances, the number is even.
Pretty awesome observation.

Birthdays, Stitches, and a Wedding~

Rosie and Leighton celebrated their birthdays four days apart, and we had a ball at Leighton's Magical Unicorn Waterslide 4 YO party~ It...
