January Schooling~

We always enjoy celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr every January~

We enjoyed this wonderful Chalk Pastel after reading great books~

I have found the kids LOVE biographies and true stories and these two did not disappoint~

We played hangman to practice similes~

AND Chinese New Year is THE favorite of January so we read this cute book and made pot stickers for lunch~

Continued our study of The Great Depression and had a homeschool version of the final exam~

We read this beautiful poem~

and painted another chalk pastel of The Snowy Evening~

A little more CNY celebrating with books and paper dragon wishes~

EC found a lizard and wanted to nature journal it SO we pulled out microscopes and sketched~

We also learned all about bony fish and sketched them too~

And to finish it off, we watched a movie, had a family room picnic, and ate rice krispies for dessert~
