Home for Will's 11 Birthday~

We were thrilled to come home from the beach to find our outside fireplace complete. So excited that we built a fire, roasted hotdogs, and made smores~

Finally, it was Will's birthday so he opened a few gifts, we read all the apple books, and headed out for a day to the...

Apple Orchard in the GA mountains~

This is another one of our family fall traditions to pick all the kinds of apples in the orchard~

Line up kids for all the photos too~

When I look back through the years, I'm amazed how fast they are growing up~

We went to the most awesome salvage store in Otto, NC for awesome things for our fireplace~

Then we ate dinner outside in Clayton, then ice cream, and a trip to our favorite store Wander~

The next day we added some flagstone around the table and fireplace along with the new decorations~

We celebrated Will and Pop's birthday together for dinner and cupcakes~

Then God blessed us with the MOST beautiful sunset to finish off the day~

On Sunday we were so excited to go to the Falcons game and tailgate with Scott's friend Bill and wife~
The Falcons lost but we didn't care because we had a whole day just to be together!!!
The best!!!

Fall Trip to the Mountains~

We loaded up Wednesday morning headed to the mountains for apples and pumpkins.
Our first stop was Bryson's Apple Orchard~
Everyone picked their bucket half full and we even ate a few~

We paid for our three bags full and headed on to Clayton for lunch~
Made a few stops to take in breathtaking mountain ranges and waterfalls~
Made it to Highlands, NC and chose our pumpkin~
The next day we made a yummy Skillet Apple Pie~
Recipe~
Peel and slice apples thinly then sprinkle with 1/2 c sugar and 1 T cinnamon.
Add to a greased iron skillet.
In separate bowl mix 1c sugar, 1c self rising flour, 1 c milk, and stick of butter.
Mix well and pour over apples.
Bake @ 350 for 35-45 min until golden brown.

Happy Fall Y'all!!!
