One of our favorite times of day is chapter book reading.
We have been enjoying The Boxcar Children over the last couple of weeks.
Imagine the littles' delight when their dad came home this morning with a couple of boxes perfect size for their very own boxcar.
We taped them together, cut a door, and painted with some left over paint.
Completely delighted!!!
They immediately began to decorate inside and out.
They even wrote a house number on the outside and named WP head postmaster.
After a quick DQ run and baths, they added a lamp and declared a boxcar sleepover. :)
I told them IF they all fell asleep, they were welcome to sleep in there.
Way too much giggling going on. LOVE!
Thinking they will be sleeping soundly in their own beds. :)
Having a boxcar sure makes watching the GA game a lot easier!!!

ReplyDeleteWe are working through the Boxcar Children series for our chapter book reading time too. My little ones LOVE them. They would have been all over the box idea. So fun to see the excitement in your kiddos' faces. :)
