Payne Curtis QingYing Ankerich~

Scott and I had some nerves this morning as we waited but overall just a sweet peace... I even shared with a friend I felt Payne was going to have a smooth transition~
And he did.
Here we are right before we left this morning about 10am~
 SO ready to go meet our son.

We met Anna in the lobby and headed out~
 We arrived just as another family was getting their son and just took in their precious moment... they were from Sweden. :)
A few minutes later, out baby walked in and my heart just jumped for joy. He came right to us and began talking to us in Chinese just like a little man. :)
  Two other families were getting their sons too... a 2 year old and 6 year old. Room full of precious boys!!!
The man with him introduced us as Mama and Baba... he just stood there taking it all in~
 The next thing we know he was giving us a little orange which was the perfect way to break the ice. Scott peeled it and handed it back to him. He offered us both a bite and we fed it right back to him. Precious precious!!!
We then brought out the phone, cars, smarties, and cup of juice... LOVE~
  He began calling us Mama and Baba right away!
Scott was smitten for sure... and you can just imagine what I am!!!~
 We did a little paperwork, sat on the floor and raced cars, ate snacks then headed to get red book photo taken

 He was wearing a TON of clothes with split pants!!! Adorable~
 This is the one of the orphanage people that brought him and seemed to really like Payne. Made sure we noticed how cute is curly hair was :)~

 Payne's friend came over to see the cool stuff we had and Payne gave him one of his cars~
 Already getting kisses from Mama. I think I have one of these photos for all of the littles~
 A shot of us leaving the Civil Affairs building~
 Back in the van headed to hotel. He asked our guide where we were going and she said to the hotel where there are lots of toys. He grinned very big~
 We made it back and took our first family photo~
 He began playing with the stacking cups right away~
 And his car track~

 Then it was time for a little playtime in the bath... he LOVED it!!!
 Once he was dressed, we fed him noodles and he gobbled them ALL down. Around 1:15 I laid down with him and he was asleep in about 15 minutes. Sleeping away while I blog.

I have dreamed of this day for over a year and God MORE than answered our prayers... remember that Immeasurably More post I wrote??? God did just that. He gave us Immeasureably More than we even prayed for and to HIM be all glory forever and ever!!!

Ephesians 3:20-21
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

    Congrats to you both!!! Payne is so cute and thanks God for a wonderful first day with his loving parents. You both are awesome!! Thank you very much for your big hearts. Payne Curtis is no longer an orphan!! I am very happy and excited for your family.

  3. I can not really believe that this time has arrived! I'm in tears! The other guy is "Kike" Payne classmate. LWB have lots of info and many pictures of him. If you have the email of his family tell they to write to LWB Spain (or USA) to get it. I feel doubly happy :)))
    God has blessed you with a wonderful family and a beautiful gotcha day. I can´t wait to seeing you with Evie and back home the whole family together.

  7. Olivia and I ran to the computer to see him! He is just precious. And what a smile on Scott's face! I love the picture of you kissing him...melts my heart. I'm so happy he is doing well. We are continuing to pray.
    Olivia is so afraid that if you keep those pants and he has to wear them when he is older, other kids will make fun of him! So...her advice is to get him some new ones! :)

  24. OK - So a happy cry on a Monday can be a good thing! He is such a handsome little man - I am so happy for him and for you and your family! So good to watch God in action - literally!     I very randomly came across your blog today... and knew I recognized you from somewhere--then I realized we were in GZ with you in Nov. 2011!!! We only met you a couple of times, but were also with BAAS and staying at the Garden. Congratulations on your BEAUTIFUL GROWING family!!!
    I enjoyed reading back on many of your older posts today. I didn't catch all of the details, but it seems you felt God leading you to another son last year when you brought WP home? We also felt God leading us back to China to a son while we were adopting our Gracie. That little boy was matched with another family, but we are very excitedly waiting to see who God has planned for our family right now...
    God is so good and what a blessing to read about how HE is growing your family!!! All the best!
