Xichan Temple~

Today's excursion was to the largest temple
in Fuzhou~ Xichan Temple.
It was a beautiful walk through the grounds
and we used the opportunity to pray for everyone we saw there.
There are four families here this week in Fuzhou. This family has three daughters~ they adopted a 12 year old this time. :) Will Perry is a champ in the carrier. He just rides and looks around the whole time. Precious boy!!!

This is our beautiful guide Penny. Please pray for her and her family. She just called us crying that her grandfather passed away. She has to go home right away and we are getting a new guide. We will miss you Penny!

Bridges in China are SO beautiful!!!

Beautiful girls!
I guess you can tell from the umbrellas,
it rained on us the whole morning.
It is pretty warm so not that bad.
Just happy to get out of the hotel and do something.
I think it's supposed to rain the rest of the week.
A great morning!
Blessings and love from China!

  1. love the and hugs from Alabama:)

  2. Beautiful photos. The architecture in China is absolutely breathtaking and I can't wait to return one day and just soak more of it in next time! It rained most of the time we were in Fuzhou ...or should I say, POURED! ;) Loving all the photos and the bridges really are SO pretty. Praying for your guide during her time of loss, that God will comfort her heart. God bless you all!

  3. So beautiful. I do miss it!

  4. It's always so wonderful when any family adopts, but to see a family that is adopting a 12 year old is amazing. How fabulous for ALL of them!

  5. I don't mind rain as long as its warm!! And bonus, you got some new umbrellas :)

I think I am going to need to borrow your carrier! I was looking for a reason we weren't in china at the same time! That might be it :)

Great idea to pray for the folks at the temple!

  6. What a fun outing despite the rain! I can't believe how much smaller Will looks now in his carrier. He is such a handsome guy!

  7. I so loved the banyan trees when we were in China! Reading your posts & seeing your pictures are a wonderful trip down memory lane...and hopefully a glimpse into the future, too. ~Jackie
