WP's New Haircut~

Wednesday, November 30, 2011

The two boys in our family were due a haircut
so we headed to see Ms. Karen yesterday afternoon.

We were a little concerned WP would be scared
and sat him in Scott's lap for security.
We could tell him he was used to have his hair cut~
(Well, we actually have pics of it at SF)
 A sweet moment captured~
Ms. Karen said WP was a champ sitting SO still~

Scott got his cut too and aren't they both SO handsome?~

Our precious boy all smiles this morning~
and his beautiful sister all smiles too!~
 Both loving Toddler School...
working on puzzles and singing away.

For we are God’s workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance for us to do. – Ephesians 2:10

A Shoe Mix-up~

Tuesday, November 29, 2011

In the midst of reorganizing and changing out
a few things in the littles' closets this morning,
WP found the perfect fitting pair of shoes~
(Yes, wrong feet)
I had not even noticed he put them on.
I told SJ WP had her shoes on and she said,
"It's ok, they don't fit me anymore anyway."
 No, little buddy~
you have a Shoe Mix-up for sure!
Funny thing is, he knew these weren't his
and knew he was pulling a joke...
he loves acting like he's hurt and whining Maaamaaaa.
I just look at him stern and he bursts our laughing.
A practical joker is what we have on our hands
and we are loving it!!!

Getting Along~

Monday, November 28, 2011

Today SJ, WP, and I are home alone.
Everyone is back at work and school
so it semi-quiet around here.
SJ and WP are playing pretty well together
now that the who's going to sit in mama's lap competition is over. :)

Music has been a great way for them to connect~

Almost made it to lunch time~
eating is always a GREAT time!

The First Fire~

Sunday, November 27, 2011

We built our very first fire this season yesterday
and decided we would roast hotdogs and marshmallows for dinner.
Guess who was ALL about it?
 Yes! The two boys! :)

PS. We had our social worker visit today
and it went great!
This was SJ's one year visit and WP's one month visit.
We LOVE Heather!!!

One Week Home Today~

Saturday, November 26, 2011

On one hand, can't believe we've been home a week
and on the other, seems it's been longer.
We may be coming out of the jet lag fog
due to sleeping arrangement changes.
EK and SJ just couldn't get used to sleeping upstairs away from us
and honestly, I was tired of climbing stairs every two hours.
WP wasn't sleeping in his bed very well either SO
the girls are back in their old bed and WP is in our bed.
Last night, we all made it through the night
with only two bathroom runs.

For the most part, WP is happy and adjusting well.
He feels much better and has his appetite back.
He is coming to Scott and I for all his needs
and playing 'pretty' well with his sisters...
as long as he gets his way and they let him have what he wants. :)
He calls me constantly and kisses me often.
He LOVES going outside with his Baba!
He feels comfortable enough to pitch a fit if he's upset.
He loves playing with his train and little people~
thinking he may be an action figure kid.
I think he's doing pretty well...
One Week Home Today!

Happy Hermie Day~

Friday, November 25, 2011

There were three very happy littles
this morning when they awoke to our favorite Elf on the Shelf,
Hermie waiting for them in our Christmas tree~
 SJ~
 EK~
 and WP~ all very happy.
I am proud to say Hermie will have a great report
for Santa tonight when he flies home to see him. :)
I know tomorrow will bring more of the same.

A Happy Thanksgiving~

Thursday, November 24, 2011

We have SO much to be thankful for...
Mostly to be home with our 7 children,
celebrating Thanksgiving today.
We all decorated our tree this morning,
made our family Christmas photo,
and ate a delicious lunch with our family.

Our family hopes you and your family
had the most blessed Thanksgiving ever!

Phil 1:3
I thank my God every time I remember you.

A Pretty Normal Day~

Wednesday, November 23, 2011

Considering we are just 4 days home with WP,
things went pretty smoothly.
He woke up about 6:30 and ate well, played well,
and handled a little company well.
He took a good nap
and when he woke up, played some more~
(Thank you Cain Family for the great fire truck!)

We had planned to decorate our tree tomorrow
and the littles waited all day for us to put it up.
Finally about 7:30, we did and of course I wanted a pic.
Can you see who was over it
and just wanted his bath and bed?
He barely put his head on his pillow
and was fast asleep.
Sweet dreams little Will Perry~
tomorrow is the day we celebrate all of blessings.
You and your siblings being our GREATEST ones!!!
Blessings and love!
(PS... Christmas Family Picture Day too)

A Better Night and Day~

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

In China, we had two rooms in both hotels
so I had king bed with two littles.
SJ became very comfortable sleeping with me
so coming home to her own bed has not been an easy transition.
She still wants to sleep with me and that's great
considering she has only been home a little over a year.
Last night, I started the night about 8 with WP
then about 10:30 I took SJ to the bathroom.
She begged to come to my bed and I relented.
EK woke up with a bad dream,
so I brought her back to her old bed.
I went back to my bed
and by midnight, it was evident that WP needed me again
so I crawled back into bed with him.
Everyone had a whole night's sleep~ Yay!
Can you believe WP slept 16 and a half hours~
I can say he acted and felt so much better today.
We took him outside for a while
and went for a golfcart ride and
WP LOVED IT~
We rode up to see the horse and he wasn't too sure about him~
Decided he would just look and not touch~
I think he likes being here at home
and playing with his sisters.
The big ones and little ones. :)
We are all off to bed again about 8
and honestly, I can't WAIT!!!
Blessings and love!

Days and Nights~

Monday, November 21, 2011

My sweet family understands how hard this adjustment is
and prepared the most yummy early Thanksgiving feast.
Wish I had snapped pics of everyone.
It was SO wonderful to sit down to a home cooked meal~
 WP Loved the butterbeans~
 The big kids table~
I could NOT be more thankful for my family~
They had been so supportive through our whole process~
Our days and nights are SO mixed up.
We all went to bed last evening around 7.
About 10:30, SJ needed to use bathroom
and never went back to sleep all night.
WP woke up about 1:30 and never went back to sleep.
They were both in our bed for a second night
and we couldn't lie there any longer.
Got up about 4am~
(They were about to starve!)
WP still wasn't feeling very good today
so we took him Dr. Morgan's...
bronchitis.
This was WP's first carseat ride.
He was a rock star rider!~

 Sweet Dr. Morgan!~
After the dr, we took WP for his first dinner out...
On the Border~
 Then we headed to Target~

For WP a pair of shoes which he had to wear out of the store~
 Very cute~
Once again, I can barely hold my eyes open
so headed to bed.
Blessings and love to you al!

There's NO Place Like Home~

Sunday, November 20, 2011

That is the understatement of the year!
After getting WP's second IV drip,
we left the hotel @ 11am for the airport
wearing our Shepherd's Field tee shirts honoring them
for loving WP and sharing such a precious gift with our family.
He still wasn't feeling all that well
but knew we had to get home.

There is no sugarcoating the return flight home!
The first leg to Seoul was just a three hour flight
and WP did awesome.
We had a short 2 hour layover and boarded for our marathon flight.
Everyone was great for the first couple of hours
but after that, it was the hardest 13 hours of our entire trip.
WP would fall asleep and wake up wailing
disturbing the whole back of the plane.
Many of the flight attendants would rush to us
trying to help us quiet him down.
Really the only thing that worked was standing with him in the back rocking back and forth.
If I sat with him, I had to sit extremely still
or he would wake up and wail again~
a vicious cycle for the whole trip.
My arms are SO sore today. :)
Not sure what was going on other than being sick
and maybe just not liking the plane at all.
Anyway, we made it and that's ALL that matters.
There's no place like home!

We arrived @ the airport about 6:20
and after making it through customs and immigration,
retrieving our bags twice, and going through security,
we rode the escalator up to find~
(Thank you Amy for shooting photos!)
Seeing our family, especially our children
was the sweetest sight since WP Day~
They all cheered and held up signs~
 SO thankful to be home~
Amelia couldn't have been more excited~

Just taking it all in~
It was SO nice to have lots of help loading our luggage getting home. Our pastor and family came out on the church van
to get us. Finally made it about 11:15ish.
My family was SO thankful to have us home~
It was a sweet time of reunion!

Everyone shared a little time inside for a while
and we were off to bath the littles.

Girls couldn't WAIT to get their puppets out from China~

I think we finally had WP in bed by 1:30ish
and he was asleep in a flash.
About 4:30 he cried and came to sleep rest of night with us.
How sweet he looked in his bed. :)
I must have been on an emotional high
and got tons done before I went to bed.
All suitcases were unpacked and two loads of laundry done!
I finally hit my pillow about 2:30
and slept until 6.
WP slept until 6:30, EK to 8:45 and SJ~ 9:00!
Everyone had a great day...
I will post about it tomorrow.
Our goal was to make it until 7 tonight
and we are almost there~ jet lag is SO hard.
Blessings and love from HOME!
