China on my Mind~

Wednesday, August 31, 2011

I guess with our recent LOA and knowing we will travel soon
China is really on my mind!

I am constantly thinking and praying for the people there
especially a little boy in Beijing. :)
Just a few of my favorite images~

We will be there before we know it,
retracing steps we have already taken~
Beijing, Fujian, and Guangzhou.
Not to mention the BEST part...
we will have a SON!!!

Isaiah 43:5
Do not be afraid for I am with you;
I will bring your children from the east
and gather you from the west.

Happy Half Century Birthday to my sweet husband...
50 never looked so young~ Halfway to 100~

As I was thinking and praying for him this morning,
I thought of several special things to share about him.

He was born 20, 15, and 10 years after Larry, Jan, and Susan
and became the son and sibling the whole family adored~
First grade

Senior in High School~

He is JUST like his dad.
Lots of people in our church
and town tell him he looks and acts just like him...
which means, he is kind, patient, gentle, loving, hard working, believer, and happy~

He is the BEST dad in the world~

to his girls~

and will completely adore his son Will.

He LOVES being outside~
(random pics I dug out of a box)

He LOVES Fisher~

He loves me unconditionally and completely~

And because his love is SO amazing,
his daughters' all know exactly what they are praying for
in a soul mate and I know exactly who I want Will to be JUST like.
Just read this post written by Savannah!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Dear Scotty~

You are the greatest thing that ever happened to a lot of people~
mostly to me and the girls. We couldn't be more blessed to be
loved by you. Thank you for your unselfish love you give us
every day!!! Never ever do you complain about anything
you have to do~ drive over 3 hours a day back and forth to work,
a huge yard to keep up, helping at the barn, teaching and working
at church, helping with things around the house, bathing and reading
to the girls, and anything else I need you to do. We are thankful
to have a 50 birthday to celebrate with you today. God blessed our family BIG when He gave us you. We pray He gives you many
more years to love Him, love us, and love others.
Love you forever, Shay

Forever ShayleeJoy Day

How can it be that she has been forever for a whole year~
Aug 29, 2010

In September a very serious, sick, and scared little girl
went through open heart for a TOF repair~

In October, it became amazingly apparent
how powerful love and touch could be~

By November, SJ was understanding everything we said
and speaking many words to us~

In December we were beginning to see
a little personality begin to pop out~

In January, she received her citizenship~

In February, we took her for a dental eval
for the massive work we knew had to be done~

In March, she had 7 crowns and a root canal done~

In April, she loved being outside with bubbles being her favorite~

In May, she was the most precious 3 year old flower girl ever~

In June, she was dedicated to Christ with family and friends~

In July, she completely melted my heart with this photo~

AND on August 8, she was SO proud to be 4
and celebrate her first birthday @ home~

Today I asked her what today was
and she VERY happily said, "It's ShayleeJoy Day!"
I asked her what that meant and she said,
"I have a family!"

Those are the sweetest words ever
other than the many, many times she says,
"I love you momma!" in a day.
Happy ShayleeJoy Day sweet girl!!!

Hawaii Five-O (50)~

Sunday, August 28, 2011

How many of you are old enough to remember
Hawaii Five O on tv?
I don't think I really ever watched but
can remember it being on and the theme song was great!
I think I can remember doing a routine to it
when I was in the band at some point.

Anyway, when I began thinking about Scott's 50th BD
that theme song came to mind
and I decided a Hawaii Five O/Luau theme
for his party would be so fun.
Savannah found all the decor 75% off @ Party City. :)

The best gift of all was being surrounded
by his beautiful children and family~

Susan brought her famous 'Susan cookies'
and the girls were SO excited~ they LOVE them. :)

Two littles were SO happy to celebrate their daddy's bd
and help open cards/gifts.
SJ loved the new shirt Scott got and even wore it around
calling herself the 'real' Scott.

Tuesday is his "Real" birthday
and he will be in the Half Century club~
50 never looked SO young!
We've heard it's the new 30. :)
It's sort of our Halftime and looking forward to the next 50.
Praying God's richest blessing on my amazing 50 year old husband~
I love you more than I will ever be able to say!!!
Happy birthday sweetheart!
