Amelia's State Meet

Saturday, March 31, 2007

On Friday evening we headed down to Vidalia Georgia for Amelia's level 7 gymnastics meet. The meet started about 1:00 on Saturday. Amelia competed very well considering she had a back injury. During the meet, she had to take some additional medicine and apply icy hot to her back. She was such a good sport. She placed on bars, floor, and vault. We were very proud of her. This was the last meet for her two friends Ashleigh and Erica. They are quitting to try out for cheerleading. Amelia will continue working out with Chelsa Byrd, a former Gymdawg until we move.

EK Day~ Egg Hunt

Tuesday, March 27, 2007

Today was EllaKate Day 2007, and we had a wonderful day except Scott is away on business in California- so we MISS him! EllaKate woke up to a few presents to celebrate her special day!
We took her sisters to school and headed to Hartwell to see Memommy, Pop, and PaPa Ferguson(my grandfather we moved this past weekend). The best part of Ella's trip was hunting Easter eggs with Memommy in a very cute outfit and her black farm boots (priceless)!
Tonight we all went to PFChang's for our EllaKate celebration! One of Ella's all time favorite foods is rice, so she loved her dinner! We ended the evening with a little shopping spree @ Target. The only thing that could have made the day better was having DaDa home, but we talked to him and he was having a great EllaKate Day out west!!!

EK Day!

I sit amazed this morning as I reflect on March 27, 2006; the day I held EllaKate for the first time and forever. Every minute of painful waiting vanished and in came complete wholeness as a mom. My arms had ached to hold her and once she was placed in my arms, I knew I loved her immediately. I remember putting my face against her face and not believing I could be holding her. What a miracle!!!!! God is so amazing. He chose this precious baby out of all the babies in China to give to us and it feels like we have always had her. A year has passed and it has been one of the best years of my life! EllaKate has truely been the gift God promised in James 1:17. Thank You Jesus!!!!!

EK's New Bike

Tuesday, March 20, 2007

Mama and I had to get a few things at Walmart today, and we bought EllaKate a riding toy. The girls and I put it together when we got home. EllaKate has been on it ever since we assembled it. She especially loves that the seat lifts, and she can put in some great stuff!

EK's Friends

Monday, March 19, 2007

EllaKate and I went over to Sydney Brown's house for a playdate. Sydney's mom is Kim Brown from Hartwell that lives in Duluth now.

We were also so blessed to visit our friends in Hartwell (David and Sheryl Brooks) just home from China with their precious daughter, Madelyn. She was so sweet, and I know she and EllaKate will be the best of friends!

A Tea Party

Friday, March 16, 2007

EllaKate loves to play with her teaset. She especially loved taking it out on the deck to play @ her picnic table. Even though it was a little nippy, she played and played and played. I finally had to make her come in for a while. She loves being outside, and I have to say, some of her favorite things are rocks and sticks.

Amelia's Meet

Wednesday, March 14, 2007

Amelia has competed really well the past two weekends! At the Cloverleaf meet, she placed 2nd on Vault and 3rd All-around. This past weekend, we traveled to Thomaston for the St. Patty's Day Bash. Once again, she placed on all events and 2nd All-around. We head to state meet in a couple of weeks.

Mulberry Park

Saturday, March 10, 2007

I took the girls to Mulberry Park since it was such a beautiful day! We played on the playground for an hour and then we walked for about an hour. We had a ball. We were very steamy when we left, so we stopped @ the ice cream shop!

Amelia's Friend Party

Thursday, March 8, 2007

Amelia wanted to invite a couple of friends out for a dinner birthday party. We took them to Chili's last night and then came home to watch American Idol. (We were not pleased with vote offs) We sang happy birthday and ate cake. EllaKate LOVED the candles!

Amelia is 15!

Tuesday, March 6, 2007

Amelia had her 15th birthday yesterday. We can't believe we have two drivers now. Actually Amelia is studying for her test. She will take it soon. For her birthday, she wanted to get her eyebrows waxed for the first time. She looked so much older afterwards. After that we went to the mall for a little shopping and then dinner at PF Changs. Then the girls and Scott headed to church for revival. We will be having a little party tomorrow night!!!

Chinese Play Group

EllaKate and I went to play with Cathie Zinn and her daughters on last Friday. We all had so much fun! EllaKate loves riding the carousel!!!
