Amelia's Meet in Douglasville

Wednesday, January 31, 2007

Amelia had her first level 7 meet on Saturday evening in Douglasville. She did amazing well! She scored 9s on three of her four events, and placed 7th all around! We were so proud of her! We think EllaKate loved the whole event because the music was so loud. It was a great meet!!!

Stephanie's Shower

Tuesday, January 30, 2007

We had so much fun this past Saturday @ Stephanie's baby shower. It was so fun to be with family and allow the girls to be with their cousins. We enjoyed watching Stephanie and Ansleigh open all the wonderful gifts. We look so forward to the new baby's arrival!!!

One Year Ago We Saw Her Face

Saturday, January 27, 2007

There is a saying: It's not the number of breaths we take, but the moments that take our breath away!!! That would be the way we all felt one year ago today when we saw our precious EllaKate ShuangJiang Ankerich for the very first time!!! We are still amazed to this very day that we have her. All we can say is, "God Is Awesome!!!".

Country Girls

Wednesday, January 24, 2007

We were in Hartwell on Saturday and the girls got to ride the 4wheeler! Amelia and Rosie have black rubber boots they wear to keep their feet clean and dry. Amelia was convinced that EllaKate needed a pair as well, so we went to Walmart and bought a pair. She could barely walk in them, but she liked them. I took pictures of the country girls hanging out on the farm!!!

Big News

Wednesday, January 17, 2007

Big news.... During the holidays starting around Thanksgiving, Scott and I (without each other knowing) had been thinking a lot about our hometown of Hartwell. With the passing of Mrs. Ankerich in November, I made a statement one day that I wanted to go home. That was all it took to get us seriously praying, and before we knew it, we had told our families. They were elated but a little shocked and surprised. The girls have always loved Hartwell, especially the farm where I grew up. They LOVE riding their four wheeler.

Well, after much prayer and conversation, we have decided to move probably the beginning of June. We will be putting our HM home on the market in March, unless you know someone looking for a wonderful house and we can hook them up. Scott is offering a thousand dollars to anyone who sends us a buyer. Any takers??? We decided that instead of buying or building a house as soon as we move, we would renovate Scott's mom and dad's house to live in for a year and a half. That will give us all time to make sure we made the right choice. We have been up to work on the house the past few weekends. Jeff Lopes and family have been up to help us. He and Scott actually cut out some of my cabinets to make room for a new stove. We are redoing the bathrooms, painting the ceilings and walls, buffing the hardwood floors, putting down new flooring in kitchen and bathrooms, and carpet in family room and sunroom. We are really excited about the move but sad to be leaving such a precious part of our lives. We will certainly miss all our wonderful friends made through the years.

Hamilton Mill Kitchen

Monday, January 15, 2007

As you all know we will be moving to Hartwell when school is out this summer. We are in the process of renovating our house in Hartwell as well as getting our present house ready to sell. This weekend we had granite countertops put in and I wanted to share a before and after picture.

EK's Baby

Monday, January 8, 2007

Today EllaKate and I have been playing together and doing small jobs around the house. While cleaning up the kitchen, I notice her holding her baby. She was rocking and singing to her. I think she has the concept of mamas, babies, and love. What a wonderful blessing!
