The Reception

Sunday, May 28, 2006

The reception was sooooooooo fun! We all ate a wonderful dinner and then danced the night away! I loaded a few pictures of the party. This is Jason and Amy in the limo leaving for the hotel.

The Wedding

The wedding was perfect! We were all at the church about 2:00 to get ready. Pictures began at 2:45. The girls were beautiful. Marcia and I took them that morning to the salon for hair appointments. It was really fun! The church was full when the wedding began. My favorite part of the wedding was when Jason saw Amy for the first time! She looked amazing!!! He had gigantic tears in his eyes and of course, so did we. The ceremony was precious with Ben Coleman as the pastor and Mr. Thomas as guest speaker. Mr. Thomas told us all about Amy's family and her move to GA. Boy, are we glad she moved here! Jason had been waiting for her all his life!!! Another wonderful moment was watching the girls walk by us all grown up and gorgeous!!! We are so blessed!!! We finished pictures and moved on to the reception!

Jason's Wedding Rehearsal

Saturday, May 27, 2006

We all went to the church for the wedding rehearsal Friday night. The girls, except for Ella, were in the wedding. They all looked beautiful! Jessica, Marcia, Rebecca, and Samuel were there too. The rehearsal went well and the dinner was great! We loved hearing some great stories about Jason and Amy. We were so excited about the wedding!!!

The Greatest Class

Friday, May 26, 2006

I want to thank my sweet kindergarten class for such a wonderful year!!! I was so blessed to be their teacher. Each child will always hold a special place in my heart!!! I really enjoyed the end of the year party at the park. Ella Kate would like to thank everyone for the great gifts!!! She really likes the big door toy given to her by the class. We are using the gift card as we need diapers and formula. I hope you all have a great summer, and I will see you all again in the fall when I am there with Rosemary.

We took the girls to the pool last Sunday. Ella Kate loved it! One of her favorite things to do is take a bath, so the pool was great! She splashed and jumped for about 2 hours. She didn't mind the water in her face at all. We were careful to keep her from getting sunburned. It was a fun time!

Jason't Graduation

Saturday, May 20, 2006

We were so thrilled to go to Jason's graduation from Mercer University Seminary this past Saturday. What an awesome accomplishment. Mama and Daddy came out and we all met down there. Ella Kate did very well. She took a nap and watched the rest of the time. There was a Chinese professor that spoke and his message was very challenging to everyone. Afterwards, we went to eat lunch together. We then headed to get Jason and Amy moved into their new house. It was a fantasic day!!!

Amelia's Awards

Friday, May 19, 2006

Ella Kate and I went to Amelia's Honors Celebration on Thursday morning. We were proud to watch her get the AB Award and the Art Award. We are excited for Amelia because she has been named to the yearbook staff and peer leaders for her eighth grade year! Great job, Amelia!!!

Mother's Day

Monday, May 15, 2006

I want to thank these five people Scott, Savannah, Amelia, Rosemary, and Ella Kate for making this an amazing Mother's Day. I wouldn't be a mother without these precious lives to be with each day. Being a mom and being a wife are the two most important and happy things about my life. I LOVE getting up each day to see each one and help them with all the great things they do. I love making them breakfast and getting a lunch ready for them. I love getting each one off to work or school. I love waiting for them to come home again. I love being a stay at home mom with Ella. What do we do all day??? Take care of each other and love the others all the way back home each day. I love hearing about their day and we always have to tell at least one good thing that happened. I love the end of the day when everyone is getting ready for bed and a new day tomorrow. God has truly blessed me with the sweetest husband and the most precious children in the world - all of whom I love to pieces and thank God for each and every day!!!

Uncle John

Sunday, May 14, 2006

Ella Kate met her Uncle John. He came out to visit on the way to the airport to pick up Nikki and Chloe. It was wonderful to spend time with him and let him get to know Ella. She loved playing with him on the floor.

Aunt Jan's Birthday

Saturday, May 13, 2006

We were invited to Aunt Jan's birthday party at The Skelton House. It was wonderful to once again be with family that we don't see very often. We enjoyed a delicious meal of grilled pork tenderloin, green beans, and sweet potatoes. Ella Kate loved playing with her cousins and feeding the fish in the back. We got Ella Kate ready for bed and headed for home after the party.

EK's Hartwell Party

We went to Hartwell on Saturday for a brunch to celebrate Ella Kate's adoption and birthday. Aunt Susan and Uncle Tony had it at their house. All the family was in town for a birthday party for Aunt Jan, so it was a really fun get together! Ella Kate met many new cousins and thought they were all great!!! Mama was sick and could not be there, but she is better and home now. We hope she will get better and stonger. It was wonderful to also celebrate Mother's Day with MaMa Ankerich and Memommy. They are both so sweet!!!

Mama Ankerich's Birthday

Sunday, May 7, 2006

We went to Hartwell today to see MaMa Ankerich for her birthday. She woke up sick today and was not feeling well, but we still wanted to go see her. We are very happy we did. Ella Kate loved seeing her grandmother, Scott's mom. She was very sick when we went to China, so we are very thankful that she is doing so well. Aunt Susan and Uncle Tony were there too. We were also able to see Memommy as well. It was so funny to watch Ella Kate look at my mom and then look at me, as if she was seeing the similarities in the two of us. When we got home, Kaylee and Abby Herrin, both Chinese girls, came over to visit Ella Kate. Ella Kate thought they were great! We had a terrific day!!!

13 Months Old Today

Ella Kate is 13 months old today! We are headed to Hartwell to see MaMa Ankerich for her birthday! We decided to snap a few pictures before church this morning. Be sure to click on this picture to see the girls covering Ella Kate with lots of kisses!!!

Dinner @ Iron Wok

Saturday, May 6, 2006

We went to dinner tonight at a great Chinese restaurant called The Iron Wok. This was the first time we had eaten Chinese since we were in China. It was so good!!! Ella Kate was the celebrity there. They all thought she was so cute! We miss China so much, and this was just the thing to help us remember being there.
